Hellenic American Veterans Memorial
Elmwood Cemetery 2905 North Thatcher Road River Grove, Illinois A memorial honoring American Hellenes who served in WWI + II, Korean, Vietnam, & Gulf wars. A 20’ x 95’ park setting sloping towards a pond includes a large vertical white slab for scheme 1, and glass panels for scheme 2, listing those who served, a black horizontal granite slab listing those killed in action, and Cyprus trees wall flanking the other side. Final scheme 3 of marching wall plates listing names and piers etched with the values that warriors hold true.
