A panel of five architects was invited for each to develop
a program and conceptual planning for Navy Pier. The panel
included, Lohan Associates, Nagle Hartray, DeStefano Architects,
Larry Booth and Roula Associates Architects, Chtd. This
scheme was based on preservation of the sheds for a linear
and historic cohesiveness. Parking was proposed on the
main level with elevated plazas and activities, such as
shops, restaurants, museum, convention center, cinemas,
theater, marina and other water related activities.
