Secured a National Register landmark status and a City of Chicago landmark designation for the Lexington Hotel due to its historic and architectural importance.

The readapted use was to convert the building to serve the needs of the International Women's Museum for the World's Fair which was scheduled to happen in Chicago in 1993. After the Fair's closing, the building would have been converted into housing with a central courtyard
