The Cook
County Criminal Courts' Buildings, both the Administration
Building and the Old Courthouse, like all other County
Courts, are municipal assets, with important and significant
message and image. Roula Associates Architects was hired
by the County to repair the Plaza drainage and waterproofing
system due to the age of it. Besides the renovation of
the technical aspects of the Plaza RAAC designed a welcoming
comfortable space, which communicates the significance
of the Courts' buildings. It creates an identifiable entrance
to the building, improves safety, and is user friendly,
respectful and pleasant thru an assembly of new trees,
benches and a unique lighting concept, which will guide
the User to the entrance. |
